Yesterday I spent the day in Tacoma, more specifically, in the downtown district with all the cafes, cupcakes, sub sandwiches and boats.
Downtown Tacoma is a Gem
There is a lot to do and you won’t get bored walking around and enjoying the unique gift shops and cafes and did I forget to mention cupcakes?
There is this cupcake shop that is a bit expensive but sooo good, you’ll want to try it, I love their winter chocolate hazelnut cupcake. You can find their updated menu for each season on their website hello cupcake
Just across the street is the glass museum
With plenty of boats to admire while looking at the background that makes Washington state what it is, the mountains, water, Tacoma dome, port of Tacoma.
The kiddos won’t get bored running among the waterfront while playing with the musical instruments that are set up for entertainment.
Don’t be confused by Tacoma
As going from the hilltop or the south side of Tacoma can take away the beauty of downtown, but once you get downtown, your vibe and perspective will brighten and your mood will be lifted as you take notice of couples, families, students, singles walking enjoying the 🌞.
The Tacoma University of Washington campus
Gives downtown a feel of safety and youthfulness while mom and pop stores and brewery give off the setting of adulting, while the kiddos also have their own assortment of the fun of museums, craft stores, and gift shops.
Not too far is freight house square
And with options of buying Seattle Tacoma artwork and enjoying different cuisines, it’s a bit off the pathfrom the university and museums and can be easily be overlooked but it’s worth checking out for another day of fun.
